This policy explains how I collect, use, store, and share information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

If you are outside Australia, your rights may differ under your local laws. Wherever possible, I aim to treat your information with fairness and respect.

  • Book a service, purchase from my online shop, or complete a form
  • Subscribe to my newsletter or updates

  • Share information in a reading, consultation, or end-of-life care session

This may include:

  • Session notes (which may include sensitive information about health, spirituality, or end-of-life wishes)

When you visit my site, technical data such as your IP address, browser type, referring website, and pages viewed is automatically collected for security and performance.

Sensitive Information

I may collect sensitive information in the course of providing spiritual care, tarot readings, or end-of-life doula support. Sensitive information is handled in strict confidence and is never shared without your consent, except where required by law or to prevent a serious threat to life, health, or safety.

Comments & Forms

  • When you leave a comment, I collect the data shown in the form, your IP address, and browser user agent to help detect spam.
  • Comments may be checked through the Akismet service.
  • If you use a Gravatar-linked email when commenting, an anonymised string (hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
  • If you upload images, please avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS).

How I Use Your Information

  • Mailchimp – email newsletter management

Some providers store data outside Australia (e.g. USA). I take reasonable steps to ensure compliance with Australian law.

Embedded Content & Links

Pages may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the other site, which may collect data and use cookies. I sometimes link to external sites; please review their privacy policies.

Data Sharing

I do not share your personal information with third parties except:

  • Where required by law or court order
  • To prevent fraud, harm, or unlawful activity
  • To trusted service providers listed above

Data Retention

  • Comments are retained indefinitely.
  • Contact form entries are kept only as long as needed to respond.
  • E-commerce and payment records are retained for the period required under Australian tax law.
  • Client session notes are kept only as long as necessary for service delivery and legal obligations.

Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you may:

  • Request access to the personal information I hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal requirements
  • Withdraw consent for newsletters or updates at any time

Children’s Privacy

This site and its services are not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If I become aware that I have collected information from a child without parental consent, I will delete it

I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access, including SSL encryption, secure plugins, and regular updates.

Disclosures & Transparency

I do not currently use affiliate links, sponsorships, or paid recommendations. If this changes, I will clearly disclose it. My opinions remain my own.
